Indian Scops Owl (Otus Bakkamoena )
Indian scops owl is resident spices of owl found in south asia. It generally found in dense forest.This spices formally included as a collared scops owl.It is very small about 23-25 cm. but it is one of the largest scops owl.It has small head ears.The upper parts is grey or brown and the underparts are buff with dark streaking. Face is whitish and eyes are brown or orange. So u can imagine the color of this owl is similar to tree so it is very difficult to find in a day time. I was lucky to see in a day time n get good quality photo.
Jessore sanctuary is located in Banaskantha palanpur in gujarat. Its a sloth bear sanctuary but you found lots of birds here. Because of low visitors of this sanctuary birds are residence here for a long. Also breeds too. Also Temple of Kedarnath is must to visit.
